Mohamed is a current Harvard MD/MPP candidate who majored in anthropology and minored in biology at Washington University in St. Louis while conducting research focused on the social determinants affecting infants with sickle cell disease. As a future trauma surgeon, Mohamed is interested in alleviating health inequities through addressing surgical access in areas without adequate healthcare systems. At HKS, he hopes to learn about policy interventions that focus on impacting social determinants of health. By combining these skills, Mohamed hopes to become a public advocate that delivers both individual needs in the operating room and community needs.
